TRANSPORT COORDINATOR– HUNTLEY FARM (x1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• ·Planning and coordinating daily transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal routes.
• Scheduling vehicles based on available resources, demand, and delivery deadlines.
• Ensuring that the transport fleet is maintained and available for operations.
• Constantly monitoring on Geotab, V-track (ensuring vehicles reach in time and use agreed route of delivery and adherence to company procedures
• Updating of the Logistics attendance register daily and accurately
• Updating the network truck log sheet
• Ensuring that vehicles are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitoring fuel usage and vehicle performance.
• Working hand in hand with truck log officer on driver and vehicle availability
• Identifying underperforming vehicles and escalating (utilization)
• Posting result on the trip review sheet
• Analysing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Using GPS or routing software to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinating with drivers for assignment of transport tasks.
• Providing regular training to drivers on safe driving practices and the efficient use of vehicles
• Ensuring incidents are recorded and reported to Senior Supervisors
• Completion of trip review forms and escalation after analysis
• Preparing journey management for all drivers and assignments accurately
• Maintaining accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs
• Monitoring transportation costs and work to identify areas for cost savings.
• Ensuring that transport operations are within the company’s budget and cost-effective.
• Reporting and investigating any incidents or accidents related to transport activities.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Transport
• Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or a related role.
• Must be Computer Literate

BROILER MANAGER – HUNTLEY FARM (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

• Managing broiler flocks, ensuring optimal growth, health, and welfare.
• Overseeing feed and water supply to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
• Monitoring flock health, implementing biosecurity measures, and managing veterinary care.
• Meeting production targets for weight gain, feed conversion, and mortality rates.
• Ensuring timely delivery of feed, chicks, and other essential supplies.
• Coordinating with hatchery and processing plant for chick placements and harvest schedules.
• Training, supervising, and motivating farm workers; managing labour schedules and task assignments.
• Monitoring and maintaining all farm equipment and infrastructure in good working condition.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, environmental standards, and animal welfare regulations.
• Conducting regular audits and maintaining production records and reports.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing broiler operations.
• Strong understanding of poultry nutrition, biosecurity, and disease control

The Required Attributes Include:

• Prior hands-on experience managing broiler operations
• Ability to Supervise and motivate farm staff.
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Attention to Detail.
• Communication Skills
