Truck Driver

Job Summary:

Mwisho Farms is seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting farm products, equipment, and staff safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that our daily operations run smoothly and that our goods reach their destinations on time. Job Description:

– Safely operate farm vehicles for the transportation of products and materials to and from the farm.

– Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring safe transportation practices are followed.

– Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of farm vehicles, conducting regular inspections to ensure they are in good working condition.

– Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe and responsible driving at all times.

– Communicate effectively with farm management and staff to coordinate transportation needs and schedules.

– Keep accurate records of daily deliveries and any vehicle maintenance or repairs.

– Perform additional tasks as assigned, which may include running errands, picking up supplies, or assisting with other operational duties that may not be farm-related.

– Occasionally assist with other farm duties during non-driving hours as needed.

Qualifications:

– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

– Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting.

– Good knowledge of local roads and routes.

– Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to schedules.

– Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

– Ability to work independently and take initiative.

– Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks.
