Position: Upper Primary Maths & Science Teacher
Location: Acacia School, Livingstone, Zambia
Curriculum: Cambridge Primary

We are seeking an Upper Primary Maths & Science Teacher to join our team in Livingstone. The successful candidate will bring energy, creativity, and strong subject knowledge, as well as a commitment to supporting each child’s academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
– Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents.
– Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and events.
– Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain a professional and positive relationship with parents and guardians.

Person Specification / Criteria

– Recognised teaching qualification
– Experience teaching upper primary (Grades 4–6) with a focus on Maths and Science.
– Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum (essential).
– Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
– Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
– A team player who will thrive in a small, close-knit school environment.
– Excellent written and spoken English.
