The University of Ndola is a Proposed University established to operate in the City of Ndola right in the Central Business District along Buteko Avenue Opposite Savoy Hotel. The Ndola University (Proposed) is a yet to be registered Higher Learning Institution with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) as a Private University College mandated to train students in various Diplomas and Degree programmes. As it rolls out its presence on the Copperbelt and beyond, The Ndola University (TUN) (Proposed) has embarked on recruitment of critical staff of high caliber to fill vacant positions. 1.0 VICE PRINCIPAL
JOB PURPOSE
The Vice Principal is the senior faculty member responsible for day to day academic matters in the University College.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Principal to develop the university and professional capacities to enhance provision of quality and relevant university education and training

To help the Principal in the administration and overseeing the academic Affairs of the university.

Overseeing academic policy development and implementation
-
Supervising senior staff including academic Heads of Department
-
Monitors performance of academic staff and collaborate with the Dean of the schools to develop academic curricule and programmes.

Conferring regularly with the Deans to plan, coordinate and evaluate instructional facilities to support teaching and learning activities.

Developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance systems that will enable the university College to meet and maintain the highest standards in teaching, learning and research.

Monitoring the implementation of the Strategic Plan with regard to the academic and research.
Qualification and Experience & Skills
The university seeks an individual with.

Grade twelve (12) Certificate with 5 O Levels which must include English Language and Mathematics Bachelor’s degree (in any field from a reputable university)

Master’s degree in the same field as Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.

Earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent professional degree
-
Minimum of three (03) years’ experience at senior level from a higher learning institution
-
Must provide proof of valid membership to a professional body Sober minded, organized and visionary individual with excellent verbal and wriuen communication skills
