Job Description

Website Developer Needed – Prisoners’ Future Foundation (PFF)

Location: Room 121, First Floor, Chitanda House, Freedom Way. Kabwe.

About Us:

PFF is a non-governmental organization duly registered in the Republic of Zambia under the NGO Act of 2009. The organization was formed to look into the welfare of serving and former inmates, including citizens who come in conflict with the law. Its objective is to respond to the rights of serving, ex-inmates, and indigents in Zambian societies.

We are seeking a professional and experienced Website Developer to redesign, develop, and maintain our current website to ensure it meets modern standards, is user friendly, and reflects the scope of our expanding programs and services.

Scope of Work:

The selected developer will be responsible for:

1. Website Redesign & Development
– Redesign the current website to align with PFF’s updated branding and goals.
– Create a modern, responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-focused design.
– Ensure accessibility standards are met (ADA compliant).
2. Content Management
– Integrate a robust and user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress.
– Allow easy content updates by the communications team (blogs, reports, photos, videos, etc.).
3. Features to Include
– Our Work, About Us, Updates, Impact Stories, Contact pages.
– Donate button with secure payment gateway integration.
– Embedded forms for volunteer applications, contact, and newsletter sign-up.
– Search functionality.
– Social media integration.
– SEO optimization and basic analytics setup.
4. Maintenance & Training
– Provide training for PFF staff on how to manage and update the website.
– Offer optional ongoing maintenance support (quote separately if needed).

Qualifications:

– Proven experience in website development and design (portfolio required).
– Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress (or similar CMS).
– Experience with SEO, mobile responsiveness, and web security best practices.
– Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.
– Experience working with NGOs or non-profits (preferred).

Deliverables:

– Fully functional and tested live website.
– Administrative login credentials and full documentation.
– One training session for PFF communication and program staffs.
