Job description:
Overall Job Purpose:
To assist with conducting the wildlife monitoring and ensuring that the investigations and law enforcement operations are conducted within the FQM Trident Limited accepted standards.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;

Conduct wildlife monitoring patrols in the Trident Wildlife Sanctuary (TWS) according to Zambian wildlife law enforcement principles

Assist in collecting data using camera traps, GPS and wildlife monitoring devices in TWS and conduct habitat assessments
-
Assist in conducting wildlife census’ annually.

Assist in recording wildlife conditions, behaviour and patterns and trigger corrective measures
-
Assist in maintain wildlife feeding and watering stations as well as holding bomas and off-loading ramps in the TWS
-
Assist in conducting wildlife capture and release in designated areas e.g Kansanshi, West Lunga
-
Conduct field Patrol, monitor and maintain the wildlife fence and deliver deliver materials to the fence line as required.

To assist and work with DNPW when required in TWS

Remove snares, traps and illegal fishing nets from within the TWS and adjoining and conduct night operations when required
-

Assist to prepare statements exhibits and other documents for the arrested suspects and then hand over to law enforcement institutions so the can surrender them to Court
-
Assist to conduct Trident Foundation’s environmental education programme Communities.

Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications
:

Full grade 12 certificate

Wildlife Management / Field Guide Certificate (or equivalent experience
